Bake Sale Fundraising for Terry Fox Foundation
 
Every year Xyna organises a Bake sale to raise fund for Terry Fox Foundation. It is our annual school event through which the bake sale money collected is donated to Terry Fox Foundation. Students and teachers actively participate in this event. Students collected $500.

Thanksgiving Celebrations and Cultural Day
 
Students at Xyna hosted and organized Thanksgiving Pot Luck Lunch and Cultural Day Celebration on Friday, October 7, 2016. All the students attend this event and were dressed up in their traditional attire and spoke about their cultural and enjoyed the Potluck Thanks Giving Lunch. All students wrote a note mentioning what they were thankful for. Each one enjoyed the sumptuous lunch.

Field trip for understanding World Religions
 
Field trip was organised where students visited the place of prayer and worship of different religion. They learnt about their tradition and culture in depth. There was presentation and lecture from people at relevant places which was guided and explained about their specific tradition. Students along with teachers visited Church, Temple, Mosques, and Gurudwara.

Halloween Costume Competition
 
On Halloween students dressed in their Halloween costumes and decorated their classrooms. The school was decorated with pumpkins and paintings. Students had ‘Scary Stories Contest’ which they participated.

University of Ontario Institute of Technology
 
A free interactive session in collaboration with University of Ontario Institute of Technology was organised by Xyna. Large number of parents and students attended this session. Audience had an opportunity to meet and discuss their individual queries and questions directly with the Ms Shantel Mangroo, representative from the University.

Remembrance Day
 
On Remembrance Day members of the armed forces (soldiers, sailors and airmen) are commemorated. Students of Xyna observed 2 minutes of silence in honour of fallen at 11 am on 11 November. Teachers introduced students to the importance of remembrance and its relevance in today's society and there was discussion about how Veterans' achievements and sacrifices in times of war, military conflict and peace have helped to shape and sustain our modern country.

University of Waterloo: Interactive session
 
Xyna International organised a free conference with Rep from University of Waterloo. This was a well-attended event by parents and students. Representative from University had took time to do one-on-one conferences with attendees and they answered their questions and queries.

Ryerson University: Consultation Meeting
 
Ms Cyesha Forde of Ryerson University visited Xyna and gave a presentation. Students had many queries Representative from University had one- on- one conference with attendees and they answered their questions and queries.

Trent University: Consultation Meeting
 
Enrollment Advisor Mr Loveen Jose visited Xyna it was a well-attended event by parents and students. Representative from University had took time to do one-on-one conferences with attendees and they answered their questions and queries.

Debate Competition
 
Xyna International High school strongly believes that debate plays an important role in development of students’ personalities. It helps in developing critical thinking, effective communication, independent research and teamwork abilities in students. Keeping this in mind a debate competition was organized on a very relevant topic related to youth. It was a very exciting and fun filled day for everyone. Winners were awarded with certificate.

Holiday Food Drive
 
Everyone at Xyna International High school participated in Holiday Food Drive to contribute their share towards the community. Students and parents generously donated packed food items. Students were successful in collecting three large cartons of non-perishable food items. These cartons were handed over to the representative from Food Bank: KNIGHTS TABLE

Christmas party
 
A Christmas party was organised before students went for Christmas break. Students and teachers came dressed up in red color attire for the party. The mood of the day was joyous and festive.

Learning Beyond Classroom: Visit to Ontario Science Centre
 
Students were taken to Ontario Science center for a full day visit. An iconic cultural attraction, the Ontario Science Centre is home to interactive experiences with science and technology. This was an initiative taken by Xyna to teach students beyond the classroom. Students got to perform many experiments and had to present an report on the visit.

Open House
 
School was open for public through an Open House. Parents along with their children visited school in a large number and got a guided tour to the entire school. They visited the Science Lab, computer lab. They also enjoyed a snack. Everyone got a goody bag.
