Talk on Fire Safety
To raise fire safety awareness in students, the talk on Fire Safety was organized. The main aim of the talk was to instill the feeling that fire safety is important for all of us. It was to teach our students smart fire-safety tips. The representative outlined the steps that we can take to best ensure that we are prepared for any emergency event.

Visit to Legislative Assembly of Ontario
It was a unique educational experience for our students to learn first-hand about Ontario’s Parliament and the legislative process. They also got a chance to walk through the historic building, providing a glimpse into Ontario’s Parliament, exploring the architecture and notable statues.

Short Story Competition
Short Story Competition was organized with the thought to promote creative writing skills in our students. Students participated enthusiastically and read aloud their stories in the class. The winners were presented with certificates.

Ping Pong Competition
Sports plays an important role in educating students as it teaches them to become strong from inside and also develop a fit and sound body. To help our students explore and develop the lifelong skills that sport activities offer, a Ping Pong Competition was organized and all the students were encouraged to participate in that. The winner was presented with a certificate.

Earth Day Celebration
Xyna International celebrated the Earth Day to sensitize its students towards taking care of our planet. For this cause each student created an artefact on the topic, ‘Best out of Waste from used Paper and Metal’ which is of some utility to their classroom set up or school (desk organizer, pen holder, folders, wall hangings etc).

Mind Games Quiz
The objective of quiz competition is to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts. ...Xyna International organized ‘Mind Games Quiz’ where a myriad of topics were covered. All the students were divided into teams of five and eight rounds were run. The winning team was presented with certificates.

Talk on Youth and Substance Abuse Program
Students and teachers of Xyna attended a workshop conducted on Youth Substance Abuse Program. The presentor talked about physical, psychological and scientific reasoning that motivates a user to use drugs. She also laid emphasis on understanding addiction with special focus on its prevention, treatment and recovery.

School Immersion Program
In 21st century, it is of utmost importance that students grow in global and cultural awareness. Xyna organized a school immersion program with the students of Saffron Public School, India, to help its students evolve as connected global citizens. The day was full of fun filled activities, multicultural discussions followed by lunch for all.

Debate Competition
Debates are a wonderful, high-interest way to teach a number of skills to students. They provide students with the ability to research a topic, work as a team, practice public speaking, and use critical thinking skills. Xyna International organized a debate where students participated enthusiastically and displayed great oratorical skills. Winners were presented with certificates.

Talk by Dr. Justine Blainey
Dr. Justine Blainey visited Xyna International and presented a talk on ‘ Ten Strategies to Beat the Checks of Life ’ During her presentation she motivated the students to align themselves with positive mentors and to accept the fact that challenges are a normal part of growth. The students benefitted a lot from her inspirational story.

Trip to Canada’s Wonderland
The school year once again ended with a day full of fun and enjoyment, when the students of xyna went to Canada’s Wonderland and had a wonderful time.

Graduation Night/ Year End Annual Event
An year end annual event was hosted by Xyna International to celebrate the achievements of its students and to wish Good Luck to graduating students at the Vaughan Campus. It was also a good time to reflect on the events of the year and the students gave a presentation showing the school year activities. Awards were presented to the deserving students in various categories and the graduating students were presented with their diplomas. The event was a huge success where everybody had a wonderful time followed by a sumptuous dinner.
